The eKasi Pay Credit website lets you apply for a short-term loan online — from your phone or computer — in a few simple steps. Start your application, verify your identity and income, complete an affordability check, track your progress, and receive funds in your bank account if approved. Your data is securely encrypted throughout.

    1. Start your application

Visit the eKasi Pay Credit homepage and click Apply Now. You'll enter some personal details and the amount you'd like to borrow (between R500 and R4,000).

    2. Verify your identity and income

You'll need your South African ID, proof of income (a payslip or bank statement, or a secure open-banking connection), and a selfie for identity verification. Make sure documents are clear.

    3. Complete the affordability check

We run a credit check and an affordability (DTI) assessment, as required by the National Credit Act, to confirm you can comfortably repay. We cannot approve applicants under debt review, with judgments, or in arrears.

    4. Track your application

You'll receive updates by SMS and email, and you can log back in to check progress at any time.

    5. Receive your funds

If approved, your loan is paid into your South African bank account. The full amount, including the regulated fees in your quote, is repaid in a single debit order on your next payday.

All data is protected by encryption and stored securely, and we operate under NCR regulation. For costs, see loan costs and fees; for common questions, see our FAQs.
