You can avoid late payment penalties by making sure funds are available on your debit order date, paying by EFT at least one business day early, and always using your correct payment reference. Set a reminder two days before your due date, and contact us before — not after — if your situation changes.

    Avoiding Late Payment Penalties

Late payment penalties are additional charges added to your account when your repayment is not received on time. At eKasi Pay Credit, we want to help you avoid these charges.

    How late fees work

If your debit order fails or your payment is not received by the due date, a late fee is added to your balance. These charges accumulate and increase the total amount you owe.

    How to avoid late fees

    1. Ensure sufficient funds are in your bank account on your debit order date
    2. If you pay via EFT, make the payment at least one business day before the due date
    3. Always use your correct payment reference so we can allocate your payment immediately
    4. Set a calendar reminder for two days before your due date
    5. If your financial situation changes, contact us before your due date — not after

Your payment reference can be found on your loan dashboard. Use it every time you make a payment.

Remember: one missed payment can lead to a cycle of additional charges. Staying on top of your repayment date is the simplest way to keep your costs down.
