Always read your policy schedule for the full list.

What does Credit Life Insurance NOT cover?

Like any insurance product, credit life cover has limits. The most common exclusions are:

    • Suicide within the first 24 months of the policy.
    • Self-inflicted injuries.
    • Death or injury during the commission of a crime.
    • Pre-existing medical conditions the customer was aware of when taking the loan (specifically for disability claims).
    • Retrenchment where the customer was already aware they were about to be retrenched when they took the loan.
    • Resignation or dismissal for misconduct — only retrenchment is covered.
    • Death or injury from war, riot, or nuclear events.
    • Activities classified as 'hazardous' (some adventure sports may need disclosure).

This list is not exhaustive — read your policy schedule for the full set of exclusions. If you're unsure whether something is covered, contact us and we'll find out for you.
